The final rotation I did was the laser rotation. In this rotation we got to use the laser that can cut material out or engrave it. The three projects I created were a mat board notebook cover, a laser engraved water bottle, and a 3D item that I found on Thingiverse.

When I created the note pad cover it took me a long time to come up with a good idea. I ultimately settled on using the Supreme logo along with a Louis Vuitton background and the Adidas Logo. The first thing I did was get a Louis Vuitton background and put it on the front of my cover. I then put a Supreme logo over the top of it to create the front cover. For the back cover I put in the Adidas logo and it will be getting cut out to create an area where you can see the paper.

The second project I created in the laser rotation was the engraved water bottle. For this project I chose to use a picture of DK Metcalf over the top of a Seahawks logo. The first thing I did was took a picture of DK and erased all of the background so it was just him. I then put him into Illustrator and used image trace. I then took a Seahawks logo and image traced it so I could put it behind my picture of DK. My final product turned out really well but sadly I am unable to create the water bottle.

For my 3D object rotation I decided to find something off of Thingiverse that I could cut out using the Laser. I ended up finding these really cool boxes that I could use. Once I found the boxes I had to download the file onto my H Drive and then upload it into Illustrator. If I ever have the opportunity to cut these boxes out I will be very happy because I find them very cool.

This rotation was very cool in many ways. It helped me get more familiar with the Illustrator software and I ended up doing a lot of things that I didn't know was possible. I learned that different colors mean different things, for example if it is black the laser will engrave but if it is read then the laser will cut that object out. Overall this was a very enjoyable rotation for me.
